Matthew 4:18.  As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.  They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fisherman.  Come, follow me Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men.  At once they left their nets and followed him.

John 1:40 - 43.  Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and had followed Jesus.  The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, we have found the Messiah, and he brought him to Jesus.

Matthew 9:35 - 38.  Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into his harvest field.

Matthew 28:18 - 20.  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."

II Timothy 2:1 - 7.  You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.  Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.  No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs-he wants to please his commanding officer.  Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not deserve the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules.  The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.  Reflect on what I am saying for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

John 8:31.  To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

John 15:4 - 5.  Remain in me, and I will remain in you.  No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.  Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.   I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:8.  This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit showing yourselves to be my disciples.
